Gregg Lien, by training and profession, is a land planner and real estate attorney with over twenty years of experience in land use and environmental law. A recognized expert in environmental regulation, he has lectured nationally and internationally on the subject. In 1994 he was invited by a Russian university to participate in a forum on the environment in that country, and in 1997, he was one of the few non-elected officials invited to participate in the Environmental Summit held at Lake Tahoe hosted by President Clinton and Vice President Gore. He is also a certified mediator, specializing in resolution of disputes involving real estate, and uses of land.
His professional practice is centered in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Northern California, where he lives with his wife, Nancy, and their two children. Affiliations: American Arbitration Association, Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution, American Institute of Certified Planners, and a member of the Oregon and California State Bar Associations.
