According to Vaastu, southern entrances can be problematic particularly if they are not handled with care. Three possible examples have been offered:
1) Nepal: After the northern entrance through China was suppressed the main entrance was to the south through India. A Vaastu expert then commented that there was no hope for the country if that persisted. Then, of course, the terrible earthquakes followed.
2) U.S. via Mexico: A Vaastu expert commented that if not well regulated, that south entrance into the U.S. would lead to big problems.
3) Alamo: The entrance to the Alamo was through the center of the south wall, which according to Vaastu means death.
The primary entrance to my home is on the south. Are there any remedies or precautions that can be observed?
I haven’t thought much about vaastu principles on a larger scale than individual structures. Certainly, vaastu as applied to countries is fascinating.
I once heard a story about a large office complex. I was told that in general the businesses which rented that office space did very well. But the businesses which were on the south side of the complex and used the southern entrance were often struggling and leaving. I guess how we are oriented with natural law does make a difference.
Like MJN I also have a south facing entrance into my home. I also would be interested in possible remedies.
MJN and Crystal,
The best thing to do would be to consult with a vaastu expert. You could contact Michael Borden at http://www.vastu-design.com. They would want to see a floor plan. I believe it is generally understood that the worst entry would be the very center of the south side. If the wall was measured and divided into 1/9 portions, that would be the center 1/9 portion. The two portions on either side of that is consider ok by many vastu experts. I understand that even some famous vastu people lived in a home with south entrances that they considered to be done properly.
Thanks!
Will do – Thank you!
